Information Page
What is a Junior Member ?
- a CDM Junior Member is a student of
a member (in good standing)
- Students must be 13 by December
31st of the current year.
- Junior Members are required to
attend meetings during the year.
- They receive special master classes
and have study sessions twice a year.
- Junior Members help out during the
Convention, Winter Workshop and Performing
Arts.
- The applications are due by
September 15th of each year.
- Contact Melissa Zaleski or Laura
Thornburg on the "Contact Us" page for more
information.
- The Junior Member year
goes from November 15th to November 14th each year.

Junior Member News.......
Photo Gallery
* The last meeting of the 2010-2011 Jr. Members...will
be held on October 15 in
Graham, NC at the Center
of Performing Arts. Rehearsals for the Jr. Member dance at
the banquet will begin.
Please note: ONLY 2010-2011 Jr. Members are eligible to
dance in this
performance. New members are not official
members until November
15th of 2011.

Congrats to Jr. Member Sydney Hale....Sydney
was awarded at the National
Convention a scholarship
to attend the 2012 S.H.I.P. program in Buffalo, NY. Sydney
is a student at Ann
Freeman Dance Academy.

2nd Meeting of the Year in Graham...the
2nd meeting of the year for the 2010-2011
Junior Members was held in
Graham at the CDM Winter Workshop. The students had
classes of ballet, tap, jazz,
Zumba, contemporary and lyrical. At this meeting the
Junior Members held a drawing
to send 2 students to the DMA SHIP and 2 students to
DMA National Convention.

the

for the new year. They are as follows...

Junior Members perform at the banquet.....the
2009-2010 Junior Members
performed a Hip Hop
routine during the convention banquet this year. It was
choreographed by member
Alyson Badgett.
